About Me

After teaching college students for many years, I have discovered a new delight – capturing the world around me with a digital camera. Much of my work is shot in Washington state, Oregon, and other places in the Pacific Northwest. I also wander other places in the western US. I hope you enjoy the images of the places, things, and people that are displayed here. You might also like to explore my work presented at my gallery where all my images live. My views of the world are at Tom Cochran Vagabond Photography: tomcochranvagabondphotography.com

I am a seeker of sights, a will-o’-the-wisp in search of the unusual, the beautiful, the engaging, and the truly awe inspiring. Perhaps you’d like to join me on my journeys.

Vagabond Photography means that my photography explores travel, landscapes, people doing interesting things in all sorts of places, people engaged in activities they believe are important to them and their community, people having fun wherever they might be, and places, perspectives, objects that are artful, and objects that are everyday, wherever I might find them. I live in northwest Washington state. My camera also looks at people and places and stuff that interests me in Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.

I welcome any comments or questions you might have.
